Nice catch there!
'Shindig'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Ah, I didn't make that connection. Nice.
Theo, thanks, I missed the episode last week.
Henry's "Blinded me with Science" made me laugh and tear up - so AWESOME!!!
And then the flash of Stark in the preview made me yelp with laughter.
What they're doing with Zane makes me not want him so dead either, so since he's here to stay (it appears) - kudos.
That is fantastic news! Thanks Scola!
How fun1 I hope it comes over here.
Bunch o' Doctor Who news:
Doctor Who hits the road with Winston Churchill and... Neill from The Young Ones?
In totally unrelated Doctor Who news, the BBC announced that at long last, the 1996 TV movie starring Paul McGann will be released on DVD in the U.S., something that legal wrangling with Universal has prevented for years now. This is probably only good news for the tiny handful of us who want to rewatch Sylvester McCoy's final moments or the episode's handful of other cool bits.
I watched that Paul McGann Doctor Who episode/pilot/thingie on Fox and barely remember it (I'm a big fan of Withnail and I, which is what McGann is probably most famous for). Now I'll have to decide if I want the DVD....
Anyone else see that Who thing?
I saw it and kind of enjoyed it. It established a Doctor who could be attracted to his companions.
And, of course, Sylvester McCoy.
I watched it. Hated the half-human retcon Fox tried to do with the Doctor's origin, Hated that they felt compelled to push an insta-romance with the new companion. Pointed and laughed at Eric Roberts' performance. But in the hands of capable writers I thought McGann would have made an excellent Doctor.
