Ah! I'll be happy to see him with a semi-regular gig. Pity the role is such an earnest one though, he really excels at snarkiness.
'The Message'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Speaking as the mom of 2 teenaged boys, I'm seeing the Allison/Kevin subplot as being highly symbolic of teen parenting in general.
In my experience kid's personalities are pretty stable between the ages of 7 and 12. Then suddenly they change. Dramatically. And while it doesn't actually happen in the blink of an eye, it sure does feel like it. And suddenly you feel like you've been handed a brand new kid, the rules have changed, your parenting skill set has been flung out the window and you're flat-footed and fumbling in a way that hasn't happened since they were toddlers.
So, yeah, I'm identifying with Allison quite a bit this season. And Eureka, being Eureka, she's not going to make typical mom-of-teen parenting blunders, she needs to make Eureka-scale parenting blunders.
I'm cutting her some slack.
edited because mom-of-teen is not the same as teen mom
Alright, Mickie, that's an insight I'm willing to consider.
TVshowsondvd has a hint that we will see a 1st half of season 1 Caprica dvd set.
Good to see your pixels, CFerg.
The show is then passed off to the producers and to the network and they both have their way with it.
Interesting... I thought it was more of a "here's some notes" thing and not so much giving up control.
Agree that Jo/Jack is a great partnership, and that Jack's relationship with his daughter is wonderful.
Pretty much agree with what all of y'all said about Allison, and the hotel comment, and being cautiously optimistic about Zane.
Good news...I watched all of Ultraviolet on Hulu yesterday and enjoyed it even more the second time around. (Vampire Bill! Only with fluffy hair!)
Other news...I actually enjoyed last night's The Gates. Did not expect that, I must say. Yes, yes, it's Dynasty with Fangs, but the characters and intrigues are becoming less Melrose Place as the season progresses.
Is Paul Blackthorne only in episodes 3 and 4? (Of The Gates )
I hadn't realized that was Stephan Moyer in Ultraviolet.
Reason to rewatch! (If one is needed.)
He was in for a few minutes this episode. His character seems wasted, but I suspect this is build up to something nasty on the way.
Who's watching Being Human on BBC Am? It is *not* looking to be a lighthearted season.
No, pretty dark.
