So I've been watching earlier seasons of
Doctor Who....
Originally I didn't like the 9th Doctor that much and stopped watching. Now he's grown on me, but I still like 10 and 11 more.
Oh, I totally love the "School Reunion" episode, as it has evil Giles, Sarah Jane Smith and K-9 - such a fun, yet kinda' sad episode.
I have a question about
Torchwood.
Is it completely independent of
Doctor Who
(I mean once it gets started)? Or are there crossover episodes or events? And if so, what season of
Who
corresponds to the first season of
Torchwood?
Torchwood's first season is set after the Ninth Doctor's season. It's mostly independent, but there are a few crossovers here and there.
9 is Hardison's favourite Doctor.
FWIW.
Also mine.
Is someone here making fun of Diana Rigg?
It's weird - I actually find 9 more attractive than 10 or 11, but for some reason 10 and 11 are more my ideal doctors.
9 was my first and favorite Doctor, but the people I know (2) IRL who are Dr Who fans HATED him.
Chris, head on over to Natter. Diana Rigg linkage over there. I didn't read it, but I don't know if it's like a mocking thing.
Nine is my kind of broken. I like Ten, love even. Just not adore.
Eleven is alright. A bit too healthy wacky.
I recently went straight through 9-present and found that 9 had grown on my significantly since first watch. Enough that I'm sad CE didn't stick around longer. I love 10 the best, I think, but have warmed to 11 more than I expected to in 10's wake.
The part that is bothering me lately is Amy. I thought she was the beezkneez in the first couple of episodes but KG is now striking me as on par with Anna Paquin talent-wise. Which is to say, wide eyes and swallowing a lot do not acting-range make. I like the idea of the character so much more than the execution.
I'm totally with you tommyrot, regarding "School Reunion." The conversation between ASH and DT by the pool is exquisite. "I used to have so much mercy. You get one warning. That was it." shiver
eta: I also love the arcum's solutions in School Reunion. Use the fire alarm to stun the bats, unplug the computers, drive the car into the school. Awesome.

Yeah, that was an awesome scene - both actors were amazing. A nice, polite conversation with such menace.
