Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Jo never struck me as one of those women.
Oh, I totally agree. And, once again, off topic...a science writer friend...PhD, international ultimate frisbee champ, insanely independent, super tough...turned into a terrible bridezilla, magpie. Seriously, it was watching something out of Eureka, only in real life. Morphed, right there in front of me.

Anyhoo...watched Haven which strikes me as Eureka meets Fringe meets Twin Peaks. I enjoyed the dialogue, and Nicholas Campbell! The end was dopey and predictable, but I'll give the next episode a try. I liked the mystery of the photograph and look forward to seeing how that gets resolved. It isn't as whimsical as Eureka, which might not be a bad thing.

My Tivo cut out just as Tess went to get Jack a drink. What happened after that?

Also, did anyone else pick up that SARAH is now Tess' house, not Jack's? In which case, where does Jack live?

And is Henry going to tell Grace right-fucking-now that he has no idea who she is? Because he really really ought to.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I feel awful for Henry. How many timelines has he lived through by now? And he's the only one who remembers the last time this happened.

What is even happening?

I did not pick that up, Consuela. What tipped you off? I got the feeling (but it was just a feeling) that SARAH was Tess & Jack's house.

I'm Jack/Allison all the way and probably always will be, because the season 1 finale, "Once In a Lifetime," was the first episode I watched. I love Henry, but I enjoyed watching his discomfort at being plopped into a new reality (although it looks to be a pleasant one for him, and good for him) since he mind-wiped Jack.

I definitely thought SARAH was Tess & Jack's house. Didn't she say, "Welcome home, Sheriff?"

Did she? Ah, I missed that. It just didn't look much like Jack's house.

Anyway, what happened after that?

And it's been so long that I forgotten what Henry had been through in the past. This is not his first trip on this merry-go-round. Yikes.

So long as he also continues to bring the music (in-show, not soundtrack), I'm a happy gal.

Yesterday's episode credits was the first time I noticed that Bear McReedy is doing the music for Eureka. Has he done it in previous seasons, as well? Because it was excellent last night. Loved the period music during Jo's chase scene.

IIRC, I think the only thing that happened after Jack and Tessa was seeing Callis show up asking for Allison, still holding Jack's coat over his shoulder (presumably with the phone inside).

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I believe Bear has been on Eureka from the beginning. This must've been fun for him.

I think he may have said 'maid' rather than nanny was with the baby.

I was watching with Closed Captioning on, and it said "nanny" FWIW.
