Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

So long as he also continues to bring the music (in-show, not soundtrack), I'm a happy gal.

Yesterday's episode credits was the first time I noticed that Bear McReedy is doing the music for Eureka. Has he done it in previous seasons, as well? Because it was excellent last night. Loved the period music during Jo's chase scene.

IIRC, I think the only thing that happened after Jack and Tessa was seeing Callis show up asking for Allison, still holding Jack's coat over his shoulder (presumably with the phone inside).

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I believe Bear has been on Eureka from the beginning. This must've been fun for him.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I think he may have said 'maid' rather than nanny was with the baby.

I was watching with Closed Captioning on, and it said "nanny" FWIW.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Huh - I was sure he said "Mia" and assumed that was the nanny's name.

All is well that ends in pizza.

WHat no BBC America viewer reaction to "The Lodger"?

Compassionately intolerant

Because I'm a sucker, I'm watching the 2nd season of Primeval. I have to say, the wormy fog episode creeped me right out.

WHat no BBC America viewer reaction to "The Lodger"?

Cable is being wonky. I'm hoping to get it at a later airing.

Link to discussion of the UK airing of tonight's episode: Seska (the Watcher-in-Training) "Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon" Jun 13, 2010 12:14:54 am PDT

That was great fun. I didn't get the 11 on the jersey until I read the comments here, DOH. And the timing of football-playing doctor still works well with World Cup events!

I am sad that I did not see the Eureka premiere, because the stupid Space network in Canada didn't show, and there is no info on the website about when they're going to start airing this season. Wankers. I now have to skim my way through the thread trying to not read Eureka while looking for the Doctor. Annoying.

Finally watching Eureka. Jack and Henry when they first meet on the base, talking about solar flares and the break-up with Tess. "That wasn't very supportive." The look on his face... aw, noodle!

"...that terrifying woman." Ha!

Hee, I loved when Trevor adjusted the brim of the hat on Jack's head.

And, yeah, Colin could do a 40s era detective show or something, and that'd be... just fine.

Callis was looking pretty fine, I must say.

Loved the episode, yay! I'm so glad Eureka is back.
