Because that would make too much sense, Vortex?

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Kevin mentioned the nanny was giving his sister a bottle
It's very possible I misheard "nanny" as "dad".
I appreciate that they took this opportunity to retcon Zane's proposal out of existence as is only right and good, but seeing red that Jo reconsidered and was all giddy about saying yes to him. As if all women are magpies who are so hypnotized by a shiny engagement ring that they forget any reservations they may have about the man proposing, and only crazy people would say anything other than yes.
I'd much rather she came back still ambivalent or even resolute that Zane isn't the right man for her, with conflict being generated by returning to a timeline where Bizarro!Jo had accepted.
I'm okay with the idea of Jo saying yes for the wrong reasons, and I'm going to hold onto the idea that she was wrong.
I'd like it if Zane turns into an interesting character now. But not being a dumb boyfriend is a definite start.
Just finished the episode and listened very carefully during the Kevin scenes given the convo here. The word 'dad' did not appear. Though in the second scene, when Allison runs home, I think he may have said 'maid' rather than nanny was with the baby.
Definitely missed Zoe, but there wasn't much room in the ep for hometown folks.
I kind of like that Callis is bringing sexy to physics but wish they had not gone for the noir accent. That will be distracting.
Matt,

Not to get off topic, but I only wish this weren't true. I've seen perfectly sane, intelligent women make terrible errors in judgment in pursuit of that particular shiny object. I blame biology...which I suppose brings us marginally back on topic.

So long as he also continues to bring the music (in-show, not soundtrack), I'm a happy gal.

I have had friends who did this too, but Jo never struck me as one of those women.
Jo never struck me as one of those women.Oh, I totally agree. And, once again, off topic...a science writer friend...PhD, international ultimate frisbee champ, insanely independent, super tough...turned into a terrible bridezilla, magpie. Seriously, it was watching something out of Eureka, only in real life. Morphed, right there in front of me.
Anyhoo...watched Haven which strikes me as Eureka meets Fringe meets Twin Peaks. I enjoyed the dialogue, and Nicholas Campbell! The end was dopey and predictable, but I'll give the next episode a try. I liked the mystery of the photograph and look forward to seeing how that gets resolved. It isn't as whimsical as Eureka, which might not be a bad thing.
My Tivo cut out just as Tess went to get Jack a drink. What happened after that?
Also, did anyone else pick up that SARAH is now Tess' house, not Jack's? In which case, where does Jack live?
And is Henry going to tell Grace right-fucking-now that he has no idea who she is? Because he really really ought to.
I feel awful for Henry. How many timelines has he lived through by now? And he's the only one who remembers the last time this happened.
