Bwah! Yes, I do!
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Okay, I watched the 'making of' for series 2 of Primeval and was predictably charmed by Andrew-Lee.
Would making the effort to acquire a season be worth it, or did I see the best bits in the documentary?
I bet you probably did see the best of it in the documentary. If they were very short.
It seems like a happy group of folks, having fun doing something they enjoy.
While I love to see workplace satisfaction, this does not a good viewing experience ensure. Sooooo. Dunno.
Then again, I was pretty riveted by that Canadian series with the big squidly creatures and the cuddly baby-dragon character...so my taste can be easily assailed.
Don't think I know that one, bonny.
Should have looked it up before mentioning it.
It was Surface.
Marginal quality...but I couldn't stop watching.
eta: Just for reference, it's on hulu.
Oh, yes, I actually saw a couple of episodes.
I watched pretty much all of it and it just sort of ... stopped.
Right. Apparently, they expected another series but something fell through, so the end was very 'epsidoey' rather than finale.
Not sure where they expected it to so after the whole area floods and they are trapped in a church tower, surrounded by enormous things that want to kill them . Pretty much a RuhRow moment, with little chance of a happy ending .
eta: whitefonted, just in case these ringing endorsements encourage anyone to actually watch Surface.
I'm watching the cardboard box episode of Primeval right now. Based on warnings, I went in with looooow expectations. In that vein, I'm charmed by the unintentional funny.
eta: At least it's better than Relic Hunter or summat.
