A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Right. Apparently, they expected another series but something fell through, so the end was very 'epsidoey' rather than finale.
Not sure where they expected it to so after
the whole area floods and they are trapped in a church tower, surrounded by enormous things that want to kill them
. Pretty much a RuhRow moment, with
little chance of a happy ending
.
eta: whitefonted, just in case these ringing endorsements encourage anyone to actually watch Surface.
I'm watching the cardboard box episode of Primeval right now. Based on warnings, I went in with looooow expectations. In that vein, I'm charmed by the unintentional funny.
eta: At least it's better than Relic Hunter or summat.
The charm of the actors is the only thing that makes it worth watching. And the unintentional comedy abounds!
Yeah my Mom told me she watches that Adams family like thing that was canceled. I, very intelligently, said "what?" She said, you know the vampire sit-com. Moonlight...
Now she has me wondering if I missed the whole point of the series. Maybe it was intended to be funny...
Like in "The Producers"? maybe if people thought it was supposed to be a comedy it'd have been a hit ... and be on for years.
I am bummed at the major character loss in S3E3 of Primeval. But...there's a dragon in the one I'm watching now...so, eh. What can I say, I'm easy.
Yep, Eureka tonight!
Mo Ryan at the Chicago Trib gave it 2 1/2 stars, but she's not a huge fan of the show. She wants it to have more of a season-long story arc to give it more substance. Also, she thinks that
James Callis's character accent is throwing off his timing, because she thinks his performance is a bit flat
.
Well, there is, if memory serves, stuff that happens that changes shit big time for the season. It's a start.
Right now, I'm very interested to see what Amy Berg has wrought upon the show. She comes from good stock.
I'm psyched for it. I won't see it live, though, more's the pity.
