Wesley: Illyria can be...difficult. Testing her might be hard without getting someone seriously hurt. Angel: We'll make Spike do it. Wesley: Good.

'Underneath'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Laga, thanks for the link.

Lonely monster, blind, far from home. Resonates rather hard, doesn't it? Both with the Doctor and Vincent.

I felt like taking Vincent to the Musee d'Orsay was a bit much, and Nighy's character laid it on a bit thick, but I suppose it would be hard for the writers and the Doctor to resist going there, for the Doctor especially since he doesn't want to deny Amy anything right now. And what a powerful message for children to hear, that the good things in life don't erase the bad and vice versa*, and that you can't always save people who are depressed.

* unless the bad thing is the crack and the good thing is Rory

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

OK, Ace is pretty cool. Aside from the umbrella I don't much care for that doctor.

Seven was badass. I liked Seven.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I guess this episode didn't really showcase the badassery. When I think of badass Doctors I think nine.

Oh, Seven could bring the badass, you just didn't expect it. "Memory of the Daleks" and the Cybermen one with the neo-Nazis. I think a lot of the badassness, though, was his willingness to turn Ace loose on stuff. "No, really, I'm quite reasonable, have you met my pyromaniacal friend?"

My favorite lines ever are Seven pinning Ace with a look and saying, "You wouldn't have been so mad as to make more Nitro-9 after I expressly forbid you to, would you?"

Ace, grinning: "What if I had?"

"Do you have any with you?"

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Maybe my mistake was jumping in the middle but Netflix only has two 7 episodes on instant streaming.

Yeah, and they don't have "Happiness Patrol."

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

One of these years I'm going to watch the entire series from the very beginning.

Now I'm watching Life of Mars. What accent does John Simm have?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I would believe this Chad Taylor guy on The Gates about not being guilty of murder if he weren't being played by the Brian Krakow actor.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've seen two things in a row where he wasn't the bad guy. But I still can't let it go.
