Apparently, Stonehenge Apocalypse was a hit.
How does that compare to the average SciFi movie? Though I am thrilled that Misha shouting "It was a robot head!" repeatedly could out-draw Stargate Universe by half again.
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

So what was the deal with the Doctor letting the kid go back and get his headphones? Just a mistake? or does it have more significance?
I think that it's just the Doctor's typical absent mindedness. Any other adult would have said "no, stay here, the headphones aren't important" and the kid would have whined. The Doctor just didn't process it.
Came to an interesting realization yesterday.
I've been rewatching the Who reboot from Chris forward and reveling in how much I love the show. BUT, if you had asked me which of the series I liked least before the rewatch, I'd have said Martha's year.
Donna is far and away my favorite companion and, I was okay with the romantic elements of Rosetor. Turns out, though, my favorite stories were the ones Martha is in! Somehow, the writing, and even the photography for those episodes was more engaging and more consistently 'watch every minute' for me.
I'm just now into season 4 ep 2...Pompeii...and am feeling skippity.
Surprise!
Martha's year had that fantastic run of stories, from Human Nature through Blink to Utopia, which I think was one of the best ever.
Today's Who UK: oh, that was gooooood .
Not surprised to see Rory again. The cameos at the beginning were also lots of fun. But the Pandorica being to put the Doctor *in*? Genius .
Who UK: Okay, that was good...but the only thing that lets me say that is the fact that there is one more episode. Otherwise, I'd have gone all foot-stompy.
Now, I was excited to see Rory, but then bummed that he's a plastic man. Still, cool callback to vintage new Who . Although, I will say again that the wrappy-uppy nature of so many characters in this series makes me worry for the future. Once you've had ALL the baddies band together, where do you go from there ? I was sort of expecting Rose to trundle across the back of the set at some point.
I do totally agree that having the Pandorica be for the Doctor was genius. But, did anyone else twig to that at the beginning of the episode? His speechifying, though I love it so, was SO much like his "Do you know what you should never put in a box?" monologue from earlier in the season, that the parallel couldn't very well be missed.
Are we, then, supposed to assume that River blew the Tardis up on purpose? She's somehow realizing the evil deed her warden priest described? The "I'm sorry," could have been for poor navigation...which could still get her in trouble, or it could have been for doing something to create the crack in time . Can't quite sort it.
US Who: NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
They killed erased Rory! You bastards!!!
delurk
I have to post to join in the NOOOOOOOOOOOO. JUST at the point I had decided I actually liked him, up and kill AND erase him. Damn it.
But ooh boy, am I now utterly hooked and sold on this Doctor.
wandering back to find the UK discussion of the ep.
(only found it because the helpful link to the previous ep was only a few screens back...)
That episode was pretty wonderful.
A) I'm going to have to stop being annoyed at the way this team whaps me over the head with things so I'll see them. THE SIGN IS FROM THE TARDIS AND IT FITS HERE RIGHT HERE AND IT IS SINGED!!!!!!! They're going to do this, I can just live with it.
B) Arguably, a sign can be ripped off a TARDIS minus the utter and complete destruction of said TARDIS.
Loved the whole "see you in a thousand years" thing. LOVED.
I can't figure out why they erased Rory! What possible reason could there be?
