Giles: Stop that, you two. Riley: He started it... Xander: He called me a bad name! I think it was bad; it might have been Latin.

'Selfless'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Compassionately intolerant

Daniel, that was my favorite line...perhaps of the whole series.

Yes! Matt Smith was fantastic as a pretend human. Although I did wonder why he didn't call himself "John Smith" in this one. .

Also, does he only headbutt the mind-meld when he's in a hurry? Just as well, because I'm not sure Madame de Pompadour would have liked it .

Interesting side note: Matt Smith was training to be a professional football player until he was injured and decided to try acting instead. It certainly showed.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Fiona, I kind of figured that was half of the reason we got that football scene.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ha, I didn't know that, Fiona. Heh. And I also wondered why he didn't call himself John Smith.

Oddly enough, when Amy brought up the bowtie, and the Doctor repeated his "Bowties are cool" catchphrase, I thought that I liked it much more than "Geronimo!!!" which didn't actually seem to fit him very well. And then he apparently mind-melded THAT catchphrase into Craig.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Perhaps it will have entirely moved into Craig and that will be the last we hear of it.

Loved the Van Gogh post card on the fridge.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Dana: That, and the timing - it being shown an hour before the first England World Cup match!

Seska: Yes, of course. That one I knew right away. *g*

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Dana: It made me groan a bit (despite Matt Smith being rather good at the football). Somewhat of an obvious move!

The show is usually not the master of subtlety. But I don't care. It was very cute.
