A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Oh, what I was really referring to was his obsession with the Food Network and knowledge of cooking and love of appliances and all that. There's never been any indication of that, has there?
No, you're right there. Although, I could maybe handwave that he watched a lot of food network with his mom, and it's all just coming out now that he has had to move out.
Huh what now? Is this something everyone knows about but I missed due to skimming to avoid being tempted too much by the Torchwood whitefont?
Who is shut down, pretty much. They aren't coming back to shoot later this year as normal. They will return to shoot some stuff in some form, but, er, I'll shut up now as I'm not sure what the official line is.
I'll be sure to include a Christmas Special on my list to Santa. Want more many more years of Who.

Yes, this please! I missed DW for those 17 years it was gone.
When reorganizing my videotapes this week, I found the tape on which I had the big Sylvester McCoy Dalek ep, the one where they go back to 1963 a month or so after the Hartnell Doctor left in the first episode.
Wow, talk about a dark ep! When Clive back in "Rose" said that the Doctor's one constant companion is death, he wasn't kidding. Lots of people dying in that Dalek ep, with the added bonus of human agents working with them for various reasons and even infiltrating the military and flirting with Ace before betraying her (asshole!). Also, you have the racism and sexism common back then for even more "fun" stuff.
The only good thing that happened in that ep was the meta-reference that they snuck in: Ace is bored and decides to watch the telly, turns it on, bangs it when the picture tube takes the standard forever to warm up, and then gets distracted by the "No Coloreds" sign in the boarding house window and turns off the TV just as the BBC announcer says, "...and welcome to the new science fiction show, Doc--" That was fun!
Saw the latest REAPER and DAMN if they didn't just slam dunk most of my problems with the show in one fell swoop. Sock was much less annoying, the demon neighbors are showing arc potential interestingness on multiple levels (and it's always a blast to see Johnny Blue Jeans, even when he's not Johnny Blue Jeans), and Andi finally got off the pot (or shat - take whichever side of that metaphor you're more comfortable with).
Also, it just kinda occurred to me that using sanders to break down the horns is a total HELLBOY shoutout, so the the guys should have known they could (I say COULD, because it's still looking ambiguous) be good guys.
It's definitely getting more interesting with the demon neighbors.

I believe the official line is that there will be three Doctor Who specials next year, but no regular series. (Not sure if that means the Christmas Special 2008 and then 3 more specials throughout 2009, or two more). It's quite clearly to give people a break, because the shooting schedule is so tough, so DT is going off to play Hamlet and stuff like that. There's also much speculation as to when RTD and DT will be moving on. 2009 would appear to make a good handover year.
Ashes to Ashes: well, they
saved that one at the last minute. I almost forgive them quite a lot of the last few weeks for that.
Oh, and it was confirmed that there will be a Series Two early next year.
The three specials are in addition to the Christmas special.

I love the thought of going off to play Hamlet as a vacation.
