Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

They will return to shoot some stuff in some form, but, er, I'll shut up now as I'm not sure what the official line is.

I believe the official line is that there will be three Doctor Who specials next year, but no regular series. (Not sure if that means the Christmas Special 2008 and then 3 more specials throughout 2009, or two more). It's quite clearly to give people a break, because the shooting schedule is so tough, so DT is going off to play Hamlet and stuff like that. There's also much speculation as to when RTD and DT will be moving on. 2009 would appear to make a good handover year.

Ashes to Ashes: well, they saved that one at the last minute. I almost forgive them quite a lot of the last few weeks for that.

Oh, and it was confirmed that there will be a Series Two early next year.

The three specials are in addition to the Christmas special.

I love the thought of going off to play Hamlet as a vacation.

Art Crawl!!!

Cool, I'll be sure to watch my recording of Reaper tonight.

Instead I finished watching my BSG3 disks. I really so much prefer the ending they went with over the alternative one they included. SO. MUCH. PREFER.

Trust my rage

Well, I had put off watching Jericho because I knew it would be all over once I had watched it. I will miss that show...

All is well that ends in pizza.

I still have a hard time believing David Tennant would simply walk away from Dr. Who.

He's such a fanboy, in my minds eye I can only see him being dragged off.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I've talked myself out of bringing my BSG S1-2.5 dvds on vacation with me, because I know that no matter how much I try, Mom will never be convinced to watch a SF show. So, I've brought I, Claudius, Pride and Prejudice (1995 version), and a few movies she might not have seen, instead. I'll pick up BSG S3 and finish watching S2, then get caught up on the first few eps of S4 when I get back from our trip.

I still have a hard time believing David Tennant would simply walk away from Dr. Who.

There was an interview with RTD broadcast a few weeks ago where he let slip that he knows how long they've got David Tennant for. Which means there's already an arranged date for him to leave. He wouldn't be drawn on when it is, though.
