Oh, I'm gonna go to the special hell.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I was mystified by the amount of people in this episode who were able to outrun a tiger.

handwave She was a "tame" tiger, probably used to people hanging around; if she'd really been mad that Chuck and Sarah were in her room, she wouldn't have fallen asleep with them there. So, that's why they could outrun her - she wasn't really trying to catch them, she was just playing chase. That's what I say.

That was a gorgeous and very calm tiger.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Doctor Who is ludicrous and it breaks most of the laws of narrative.

Duly noted. Seska, you read this?

(Translation for others: Seska and I started a mostly academic discussion on (what we feel as) the lack of narratives to tell a story in a way which represents a life).

But Morgan outran her? Going upstairs? Alright, alright, I'll join you in handwaving. Hard enough to cool off Philadelphia, but I'm waving my hands.

Of course, a tiger could have taken those stairs in one jump and munched Grimes as she flew past. It's almost as bad as people outrunning explosions. So, yeah. Wave harder, Morgana! Wave at the pretty kitty!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

My only Who gripe is "Here's the big crack! Do you SEE it? IT'S RIGHT HERE!!!!!!"

Have a little faith in our nerdness already. Someone is going to screencap that shit within minutes of airing. We didn't miss the one on the oscilliscope thingy.

Then again, maybe when someone is very old and very kind and the last of their kind YOU NEED TO REPEAT YOURSELF OVER AND OVER.

Really though, my only complaint. So far I'm having a wonderful time. And it appears that Amy's timeline is broken. I hope the Doctor is the one who broke it by his galivanting late last season.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Yeah. Bad Wolf at least started off subtly. And the "there's something behind the disapparating TARDIS" was cool once, in "The Girl In the Fireplace," but seemed old already the second time.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

It's almost as bad as people outrunning explosions.

That's what I was going to say: if you can outrun an explosion, you can outrun a tiger.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

if you can outrun an explosion, you can outrun a tiger.

If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball!
