I've been reading that the multi-colored Daleks (which I've seen called iDalek, my first thought) were based on the Peter Cushing Dr. Who movie from the mid-'60s. Also, the Flick Filosopher is comparing Matt Smith's Eleven to Peter Davison's Five in his "old soul in a young body" approach. (He is a might tetchy, isn't he?)

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
DW (UK): Since it was a hectic week for me and I got the recommendation of not watching Time of the Angels since it was 2-ep thing, I only now watched it. And my. Me, I don't have a lot of criticism for a TV show which keeps me on my toes and bangs me with a Sensawunda. But dammit, Amy Pond, when a man says "no", it's a "no". I'd hate to watch it if it was the other way around.
Also: really, who's gonna buy it? [link]
I don't know, Shir. it's kind of awesome!
Oh, if my ex were into DW, that would be exactly the sort of thing he'd put in his front yard.
I was very irritated with 11 for the 1st half of the episode - but then he got played. I wonder if the different colored Daleks are supposed to have different functions.
The new time/space rifty thing was v. interesting.

I was waiting for that. I mean, I was sort of annoyed that he didn't realize that YOU DON'T POKE A DALEK WITH A STICK. Although he probably did realize it. He just likes poking Daleks with sticks.

I don't think he can help it. It would be like Ripley not going after an Alien - they just can't not.
re: the link I just want an angel with its hands over its face.
I also rolled my eyes at jumping the Doctor. I'm glad that we're dealing with the cracks this early. I hope that there's something there (for whatever value of "there" you like) that we're not guessing, as it's more fun that way.
I LOVE that Chuck had the wherewithal of casting Udo Keir. Well, and Fred Willard and Swoosie Kurtz too, but seriously. That's some deep Euro-sleaze casting.
I agree that the tiger was endangered and majestic, but... I was mystified by the amount of people in this episode who were able to outrun a tiger.
