'Dirty Girls'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

“Not dead yet!”

I'm feeling like a curmudgeon, but 11 has yet to really grow on me. And this is considering I was all open-minded about it and quite willing to accept him, which I have, but still... hasn't quite grown on me the way I'd hoped. Of course, I'm only on ep 2, but I'm feeling a little befuddled, considering how many of my friends (as well as my husband) thought he was just fab by ten minutes into the ep.

Ah well... I'm sure it'll happen eventually.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I'm with you, Barb. I was just telling a co-worker about my enjoyment of Amy Pond, but my lingering meh-ness towards 11 at this point (I've only seen the two BBCA eps, as well). I don't hate him, yet, so there's still a chance I'll love him to bits. Of course, it took me until "School Reunion" to fall for 10.

Heh, that's adorable, Frank. I'm the opposite - I dig Eleven, but Amy still needs to grow on me. I think I just miss Donna and their relationship so much. Oh, well.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

That was a FUN episode of Chuck. And while I expect ita to come in a tell me the fighting was for crap, I loved that last action scene in the cafe. Also, Jefster unplugged were pretty damn effective. And I think I'd watch the Morgan and Casey show just to hear how many different growly sounds Adam Baldwin can do.

Trust my rage

Barb, I'm in the same spot. I just can't really like 11 even though I do see him as the Doctor and all. I have ep 3 downloaded but haven't been able to work up the desire to watch it yet.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

That was a great episode of Chuck, Frank, I agree. Fun, funny, great fight scenes, Morgan serving a purpose, Sarah in her underwear, Awesome without a shirt, something for everyone!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Legend of the Seeker has been cancelled.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I didn't realize it was still going!

Compassionately intolerant

Legend of the Seeker had just started getting good, to my way of thinking. Next week's episode features Craig Parker coming back to corporeal form. He's been my one reason for watching.

Ah well.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart
