I've seen elsewhere that the logo is something that was on the original Hartnell TARDIS--it's for a medical charity that sends medical aid to emergency situations, and was a logo often seen on police boxes of the early '60s.

The new logo says "St. John's Ambulance". And the wood grain is much more noticeable now, the whole front looks newer .
