'A Hole in the World'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Is it a reaction to feeling the previous Doctor needed a tan?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There's a Doctor Who billboard up near my home. I don't think I've ever seen one before. Megacool.

Our wings are not tired.

Awww, Matt Smith wrote Doctor Who fic to prep for his role.

That is mighty cute.

I like the new interior. I am more than ready for new Who.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Just watched last night's Chuck. I like the way it ended up, too. But really, Shaw has basically gone nuts, now. If he were rational, he'd realize Sarah didn't do it out of malice. And, let's think a little more, Daniel: why would Sarah be sent to kill another agent? Was Eve Shaw a double agent, like the guy Chuck was sent to terminate?

And, hello, Mark Sheppard! Your campaign to conquer the airwaves is moving along nicely, sir.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

So, I just watched "V." I did not like this episode at all. I found the dialogue to be overly repetitive, the acting seemed off for some reason and it did not hold my interest. After about 40 minutes in, I was ready to bail.

I don't think I'll be back. I tried to give this show a chance. I'm not sure if it was the long break or what, but I did not respond well to the show tonight.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I watched Justified instead. The ads being all about getting the annoying DIEDIEDIE! son back did nothing for me.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Liked the sting at the end where Anna showed part of her true face.

I noticed Nicholas Lea in the credits - I totally couldn't tell who he was in the episode. Was he Hobbes or one of the V? He's changed a lot if so.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Also, why is the Vs' sewing so bad? Shouldn't interplanetary travelers be able to sew a decent seam?
