A year and a half ago, I could have eviscerated him with my thoughts. Now I can barely hurt his feelings. Things used to be so much simpler.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Finally saw Caprica - "End of Line" - nice title.

I like how Zoe went through all that trouble to go on dates with Philo and try to persuade him to let the robot go outside, but it was all for naught. Reality made a nice mess of her plans.

Fun episode. Now we gotta wait until fall.

Art Crawl!!!

Fall. . . I suppose I should be happy that it's a wait of less then a year.

I like the Caprica recaps on io9:

Caprica Ends With Something You've Been Wanting

I like this sentence:

Now Cylon Zoe has stolen a truck and is on the road trying to escape - to where? Who knows what the weepy cylon is really thinking?

And this:

Fortunately for all of us who loved the pistol-whipping version of Clarice, the car-exploding plans of Barnabus and Co. go awry. And in the best possible way. She's derailed by a plot development everybody has been asking for. That's right: Amanda killed herself.

Yay

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Despite the overwhelming preponderance of Chuck/Sarah/Shaw, I like where this episode ended up. Also, Casey seemingly absorbs incompetence via proximity. And Jeffster's stalking skills are still hella creepy but now serve a narrative purpose.

I'm not sure I believe that Amanda is dead. Rockin' episode though. I do believe that Philemon is dead. Yikes. That was intense. I am enjoying James Marsters' turn as Barnabus. Crazy mofo. Really like the actress who plays Lacey. Looking forward to seeing what happens with her. She has some serious survivor's guilt going on. I didn't call that it was Papa Adama's assistant playing in the game in New Cap City. That was cool.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Wha! I watched twice and I didn't get that! Well, it kind of makes sense that she was looking out for him.

She's on the commentary for this episode. Apparently, Buffy was a major influence on her when she was growing up.

At one point she walked into Marsters' trailer and introduced herself and told him she'd be having his babies. (I forget her exact words.)

She also talks about what a privileged it is to work with Marsters... yeah, she's cool.

As is right and good. Yeah, I actually listened to the podcast, too. Loved the story about going to JM's trailer. I think it was "future lover and father of my children." And he was all - the who with the what, now? Too funny.

I really like Caprica. The one thing is, I often feel like I've missed an entire episode (well, and at one point, I actually had), because story lines occasionally seem to have advanced past where I'm expecting them to be. And I'd bet folding money that I've seen things in the previouslies that were never actually aired. Not a gripe, you understand. Just an observation.

Also, my Eric Stoltz love has apparently lasted, though mostly dormant in the intervening years, since Some Kind of Wonderful.
