Given the showrunner shuffles in the extended hiatus, I do suspect so, yes. If they'd planned to do it all along, I'd have hoped they'd have done it more smoothly.
I have the new ep on my Tivo but I can't decide if it's worth my time to watch. it was so-so back in November, and I hate that sort of reshuffling.
watch it. I liked the 2 hours. it certainly moved at a brisk pace and that's 75% of the battle for me.

Yes, the pace was much better than the fall run of the show. I was ready to give up, except it is one of the shows I watch with my sister.
I had given up on the show too, but I enjoyed the new episode.
