That was Prez! Oh, poor Mr. Prezbo.
Also, it looks like the AU spells it "Manhatan."
'Safe'
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

If that was the AU, that's a nice touch opening the show on the other side, with that building about to go on a trip. I'll have to rewatch it so I can see I can spot things like the double-decker car.
Yes, I noticed the spelling right away and was appalled and then I realized it was the AU NYC.
I noticed the misspelled name, but I wasn't certain afterward that we'd been seeing the AU, but I think it was. Because that's where they would have been feeling the tremors. It's a perspective issue: we assumed we started out in the real world, and Prez got Alt-Prez smashed into him. But what actually happened was that we started out in the AU, and Alt-Prez smashed into Prez.
I...oh goddammit, wait, DUH. That explains why he was working on the NEW PENTAGON. Because the Pentagon was destroyed in the AU 9/11. Along with the White House, which I think we saw in other newspaper.
I"m not used to having to pay so much attention to the props. Darn thinky shows.
Interesting reveal in the conversation at the beginning of the episode:
"Wait a second! Is that.. that real coffee? Where did you get that?"
"I don't know... I have my sources. I have a cousin in Hawaii with a secret stash. She sends me some..."
Also? before and after shots of the building are striking.
"Wait a second! Is that.. that real coffee? Where did you get that?"
And that line makes more sense now! Yeah. I need to rewatch that scene.
I think Walter forgets about Peter's otherness in the heat of the challenge. And? Mind more Swiss cheesy than Sam Beckett's.
Also? Only two nondescript yellow taxi's in the exterior shot of the Manhatan building.
I also noticed that they have prominent hand sanitizing stations in the office, and it's used without a second thought. They also have global warming.
The coffee gives us a clue, but not a good one. Id the lack of coffee political, social or due to changing climate?
The other side seems to be ahead of us in technology, but not in years. (CD player in 1986, double-decker cars, etc)
