A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Art Crawl!!!

I was very sad that Gina Torres' character on Vampire Diaries got killed. I thought that she was excellent and seeing her with Damion (sp?) really made him look like a delicate flower.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Oh, man, I might have to track that down.

Art Crawl!!!

Oh, yes. She leaps across the bar (she's a bartender) and embraces him and she is a much taller and more substantial person than he is.

I don't know what to think about Fringe anymore. I enjoy some moments of it, but it feels like it's starting to seriously drag its heels on getting us anywhere close to the excitement of the end of last season.

It seems like they've given up on pretending that the show is about anything other than Walter and his feelings for Peter and the kidnapping. I love Walter and so I'm cool with that (though even that will get old soon), but I really like Olivia too, and it's not really her story right now. She's just the normal person now in the background of Walter and Astrid.

And I miss Charlie and all the stuff about The Pattern. It feels like the episodes are very here's-a-random-weird-thing rather than here's-a-supernatural-seeming-thing-that-Walter-created. Which, I understand that there was going to be a limit on things Walter created, but the disparity between last season and this is pretty large.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think the focus is officially shifting to be on the war between the worlds.

Whuh? Are all the black women on Vampire Diaries witches and vice versa?

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I think the focus is officially shifting to be on the war between the worlds.

Agreed. We're in mid-season stand-alones right now, with the A-plot receding into the background a bit. But I don't think any ball's been dropped at all, and I'm certain it's all going to jump forward again as the back half of the season gears up.

And I can't complain about Astrid finally getting some focus. She spent most of the early run of the show barely being a character, and now she's starting to come alive.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, I'm really liking Astrid this season.
