Am I the only one who thought naming a country "Costa Gravas" was hilarious?

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

The grave coast? Or the similarity to the name of Costa Gavras, who I have never heard of?
I read it was Costa Gavras, after the director.
Weren't we discussing zombie origins in here?
From a letter to the Economist (scroll down) [link]
A grave letter SIR – When I was a medical student one of the most popular lectures was given by an expatriate Haitian professor who explained the pharmacology that created real zombies (“Invasion of the living dead”, December 19th). Unrepentant troublemakers in small Haitian villages were sometimes dealt with by a shaman, who would prepare a powder from the skin of a blowfish mixed with ground glass. This was surreptitiously placed on the doorstep of the home of the victim, whose bare feet rubbed and absorbed the toxin.
The active ingredient of this poison was tetrodotoxin, a neurotoxin which can paralyse and reduce breathing and heart rates to undetectable levels while preserving consciousness. The victim fell ill and “died”, to be buried in a wooden coffin. The night of the funeral, the shaman exhumed the “corpse” and took it away to his home. If the victim was fortunate (or maybe not) the toxin wore off, but the shaman then kept him stupefied with “zombie cucumber”, or jimson weed, which contains the hypnotic drug scopolamine. Zombies were used as slaves by the shamans, but occasionally escaped and returned to their villages. Imagine the power this gave to the elite: anyone who crossed their path could not merely be killed, but punished in the afterlife as well.

Oscar winning director! "Z" won for best foreign language film and "Missing" for adapted screenplay. The latter was about an American journalist who disappeared during Pinochet's coup in Chile and his parents' search for him. When Chuck first started, they used to throw in film references fairly frequently. I hope they keep it up!
I was explaining to my mother that it was as if they were saying "The country of Steven Spielberg is holding democratic elections!"
Jacob's recap of The End of Time Part 1 is making me sniffle over Donna again.
I burst out sobbing (seriously and uncontrollably) watching my DVRd "Journey's End" tonight over Donna's fate. So. Damn. Unfair!
