Does anyone remember posting here a link to a video blog that David Tennant did in his early days as the Doctor? I remember him in a trailer maybe talking about being nervous on his first day. I know I originally found it here but my search through our archives and YouTube have come up with nothing.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Stephanie: I thought I'd found the motherload -- [link] -- but they were taken down from youtube for terms of use violations. :(
Sweet! Thanks, Jon!
So I DVRd the recent rebroadcast of The Runaway Bride, and watched it tonight, because I was curious how it would play post-Companion!Donna. Still a bit too shrill and noisy an episode, but it was interesting to see the groundwork laid.
However, could someone confirm for me one way or the other - there was a scene where Donna basically told the Doctor off that he was too dangerous to be around at the end of the episode (at least partly based on his fate for the Empress and her children). And didn't he ask her along (which I remember leading to the chewing out)?
In any case, they cut that bit on this rebroadcast. If it's my imagination, or if I'm conflating it with a different ep,, I'd like to know. Otherwise, curse you BBCA programming monkeys!!!
Im totally going on memory here but I thought he asked her along and she said no. Because I thought part of her deal in the beginning of S4 was that she had changed her mind and was going to accept his offer. Complete with hatbox.
Man, I'm going to miss Tennant something awful. I'm rewatching The End of Time. I think it's quite scattered and sometimes overkinetic, but way worth it for the cafe scene.
Who did Martha end up hooking up with? Did all of the Companions of New Who get with black guys, or were they all interracial relationships?
All interracial except for Jack, I think. Martha got engaged to that doctor guy she was in the resistance with during the year that was retconned out of existence.
Jack gets offscreen interspecies points.
IO9's worst sf moments of 2009. Ends with a True Blood clip.
I totally don't think the Torchwood moment was a worst. I quite liked it. Seeing Jack dressed in sweats was painful. And of what's happened on Heroes, with Sylar or Matt specifically? I didn't mind that moment either. Fringe didn't ping me either. BSG--hard for me to pick, but on watching that moment it was pretty awful. And they definitely picked from the worst Dollhouse episode.
I really don't get the True Blood pick. That was one of the more powerful scenes this season.
