I really didn't like "Tin Man" so I am very wary.
Book ,'Our Mrs. Reynolds'
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Are they done by the same people?
I'm giving it a shot. Kathy Bates, Tim Curry, Andrew Lee Potts? What a weird combo. When's the second episode?
Heh, that was cute, Shir.
Second episode of Alice is tomorrow night.
I really enjoyed SGU this week.
Harry Dean Stanton and Matt Frewer are it Alice, too.
I've been bouncing around the Interwebs doing comparison price shopping for Christmas presents, and I wanted to stop by and let you know that I just stumbled across Buy.com. An amazing number of their DVDs are priced lower than Amazon (although I think they may be affiliated in some way) and they also have free shipping if you order over $25 worth of stuff.
A few examples: Eureka season 3 - Amazon: $25.49, Buy.com: $18.04. Witchblade, the complete series - Amazon: $40.49, Buy.com: $16.99. Blood Ties, season 1 - Amazon: $22.99, Buy.com: $17.65. Blood Ties, season 2 - Amazon: $22.99, Buy.com: $16.95. However the complete Farscape series is not better priced at Buy.com -- there it's $89.99.
Anyway, it might be a worth a look for those of you who are still shopping. Oh, and a side note -- the Overstock.com free shipping offer doesn't apply to DVDs. Bastards.
I thought Olaf appeared around 60. She could have known him 30 years, I suppose.
Alice is okay. It's better than Tin Man but I'm mostly hanging out for the premise, not an unnatural liking of the characters or anything.
Though I do like the Jabberwock's head.
The Jabberwock's head was creepy.
It is better than Tin Man. Have we seen Harry Dean Stanton yet? (If so, I didn't recognize him.)
Andrew-Lee Potts acquitted himself fairly, I thought. I've only seen him in Primeval and a demon series with the dorky guy from Coupling where he plays a similarly dorky character, so this was the first time I'd seen him straight. He pulled it off, I thought.
I didn't notice Harry Dean Stanton either.
