The way they've been de-aging the Doctor with each regeneration, we'd probably wind up with Dakota Fanning.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Or her daughter.
Matt Smith will only be two years younger than Peter Davison was. There hasn't been a consistent de-aging trend of Doctors. Eccleston was in his early 40s, and Tennant mid 30s. But Davison the youngest.
I meant during the new series' run. The older incarnations didn't follow much of a pattern at all.
I'm with Shir in thinking about WoM that there was something wrong with the Doctor from the very beginning of the episode.
Was he just wandering the face of Mars for the fun of it? That's a pretty desolate holiday, don'tcha think?
bonny, re WoM: The Girl and I spent the the second half of the episode repeating a 'This is why he needs a Companion' mantra.
I'd love an American Doctor, complete with American accent - or, indeed, any non-British incarnation. But given negative British reaction to the 'Americanizing' of the TV movie (which I quite liked, but many people didn't), it seemed that people still wanted their Doctor in British form back then. Whether things would be different now that there's a wider fanbase, I don't know. But, as great as Tennant's English accent is, it's interesting that RTD didn't want him to use his own Scottish accent for the Doctor. And it might have been a nice touch of variety, too.

Eccleston used his normal accent, didn't he? "Lots of planets have a North" indeed.
"Lots of planets have a North" indeed.
Hee. Yeah. Is he the only Doctor whose accent has been recognisably regional?
Well, Sylvester McCoy had a touch of the Scottish burr about him. Which is probably the reason they didn't want DT to use his.
I still like Nine better than Ten. I'm sad he only wanted one season.
