A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I can dig that, megan. That would certainly make me more twitchy. Right now, I have several incomplete sets, but they're the early seasons, so I just haven't gotten around to finishing the sets.

When you just have the early years/volumes of something, you can justify it by saying "Oh, I got those before all the hoi polloi got interested," if you're the sort to use hoi polloi in a sentence.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I'm about to go to bed, but initial thoughts on Doctor Who: Episode good, preview for next time even better (I am SO excited about guest-star-who-will-be-spoilery-if-you-didn't-see-preview). Interested in character development with the Doctor. I was discussing with The Girl why they didn't take him in a 'I rule the universe!' direction for more than two minutes, e.g. have him go a bit evil for a bit. She reckons it would be inconsistent with Tennant's Doctor's character, but I don't know. He pulled off Ultimate Time Lord pretty well for ten minutes or so.

Re: Completism: I am completist for shows that are *my* shows - Alias, Babylon 5, The Wire, a few others. The exceptions are that I haven't been able to buy either S5 of Angel or S7 of BtVS yet (I have issues), though I will eventually because I want to rewatch each series start-to-finish again.

I'm more likely to be a completist for books than tv shows.

I'm usually a completist. The most noteworthy exception for me is Nip/Tuck - I have the first three seasons, but there's no way I would spend money on the later ones.

I justify it by saying "One viewing of "Provider" or "Doublemeat Palace" was all I need in one lifetime."

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I actually think I'm in Matt's camp. I only have seasons 1-4 of Buffy and I think I only have Season 1 of Angel. I'm trying to break down and complete the sets, but I can't do it. As much as I like most of season 2 of Angel, the Pylea eps I had a hard time with. And Connor. And Cordy and Connor. Jasmine.

Seska, I agree on Doctor Who. I loved Ten's "realization" that as the last of the Time Lords, he was the fucking LORD OF TIME. It was creepy and awesome. I think it may have been cool to do an extended arc with that, but I also know that some people already think Ten is too full of himself, and they might abandon the character entirely if it went on too long. And while I knew Adelaide would shoot herself, I wish she hadn't done it IN HER FUCKING HOUSE. How were they going to explain her presence there after the base nuked? How would they explain the others', for that matter? It would have been better if she had disappeared and then killed herself so she could have been assumed to have died in the crash. Or, if Ten weren't on a power trip, all he needed to do was seed them in another time and let them live out their lives "Blink"-style. As long as people thought they died on the base, that's all that mattered.

Oh oh oh oh!! A friend of mine just pointed out that Adelaide Brooke did a fellowship at Rice! AWESOME!

All is well that ends in pizza.

PC the final web page shot in the show (Spoiler!) indicates that they tell the truth from their experience. Including telling the world about The Doctor.
