I happen to be very biteable, pal. I'm moist and delicious.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Sigh. I miss The 4400.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I think the producers and writers blew a big big chance -- they revealed some of the sleeper agents way way sooner. We could have gotten to know the black guy who is mysteriously skipping out on his girlfriend, get that he is passionately committed to the resistance, get him in a position of trust and THEN...

But no -- blow all the surprise in the opening ep, not ONLY to the audience, but to the other characters, which takes all the air out of the plotting.

Compare/contrast to the situation with Young, Young's girlfriend, and Telford that was just revealed at the end of the episode of SGU. THAT'S how you do a plot reveal, folks.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The big difference between the V reveal and SGU's for me is that I'm willing to watch V's.

That being said, I think they put a lot in the first episode. Tudyk was only a medium surprise--Chestnut really got me, so I'm glad it was there.

Does anyone know if they always intended to air four in the first block?

What I'm liking about SGU is that the characters seem to be functioning, if fucked-up, adults, not all of whom like or trust each other, and for good reasons, too.

And also I like the Eli character, a lot, and this week especially for choosing Phillip Fry as his temporary pseudonym. And for getting into having a handsome skinny body for a temporary vehicle.

Pilot just didn't grab me. I stuck around BSG's grim'n'gritty for way longer than was rewarding. Nothing's led me to think the SG people can do it better. I'm curious about the predicted fail, but not enough to subject myself to it.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm sticking with V through at least these first 4 episodes. I really dig Juliet from LOST (although I really fear that her appearance on V means she won't be on LOST, which makes me sad, because I loved loved LOVED her and Sawyer together [relatedly, I'm loving Penny on FlashForward, but I wonder what that means for her on LOST]), and I'm utterly amused at Steve the Pirate Alan Tudyk as a villain yet again.

Plus -- and this may have been my kryptonite -- I am an absolute SUCKER for a conflicted!priest storyline. It sucks me in every. time. (I blame the soap opera Santa Barbara from the late 80s.)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm utterly amused at Steve the Pirate Alan Tudyk as a villain yet again.

DH and I were thinking the show would have been way more fun to watch if Tudyk had been playing this role in his Steve the Pirate voice. Oh well, maybe for sweeps?

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Haha. I'm calling it Ralph de Bricassart syndrome. Which is to say that I sit with Steph. Especially if Father Jack is going to have angsty UST with Juliet.

Plus I like the actor. Tom Baldwin. Err, whatever his name is. Man, I miss The 4400.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Tom! See, I couldn't remember his character's name, only the actor's name. Joel Gretsch. Oh, The 4400. So underrated.

I knew I'd seen 'Penny' before, but the American accent disguised her for me.
