Pilot just didn't grab me. I stuck around BSG's grim'n'gritty for way longer than was rewarding. Nothing's led me to think the SG people can do it better. I'm curious about the predicted fail, but not enough to subject myself to it.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I'm sticking with V through at least these first 4 episodes. I really dig Juliet from LOST (although I really fear that her appearance on V means she won't be on LOST, which makes me sad, because I loved loved LOVED her and Sawyer together [relatedly, I'm loving Penny on FlashForward, but I wonder what that means for her on LOST]), and I'm utterly amused at Steve the Pirate Alan Tudyk as a villain yet again.
Plus -- and this may have been my kryptonite -- I am an absolute SUCKER for a conflicted!priest storyline. It sucks me in every. time. (I blame the soap opera Santa Barbara from the late 80s.)

DH and I were thinking the show would have been way more fun to watch if Tudyk had been playing this role in his Steve the Pirate voice. Oh well, maybe for sweeps?

Haha. I'm calling it Ralph de Bricassart syndrome. Which is to say that I sit with Steph. Especially if Father Jack is going to have angsty UST with Juliet.
Plus I like the actor. Tom Baldwin. Err, whatever his name is. Man, I miss The 4400.
Tom! See, I couldn't remember his character's name, only the actor's name. Joel Gretsch. Oh, The 4400. So underrated.
I knew I'd seen 'Penny' before, but the American accent disguised her for me.
I have begun to dislike Joseph Fiennes's growly American accent.
Whereas I'm always distracted by how bad Brian F. O'Byrne's American accent is. Couldn't they just have let him be Irish?
Is that the bearded guy? He's Irish? Huh. I wouldn't have guessed, but I could see that.
He's got a very impressive stage career.
