I don't think it's as long-term a revenue stream for them, plus they'd have to wrest rights from BBC America. To whom they just gave up first-run rights of Doctor Who. So I don't know if they're up for it.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
le nubian: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Exactly. Also, I thought that none of the Cylons knew who the final five were. Why did they start right off with Stockwell knowing? Am I high?
Well, and my husband was watching The Plan last night, and admittedly, I was not a dedicated BSG watcher, but wasn't Boomer a sleeper agent? I thought that was where the pathos of her entire first-season storyline came from, her not knowing what she was doing and why.
Oh dear, I haven't watched yet, and now I don't want to.
Yeah, Dana! There's that, too! Plan my ass...
Cavill always knew. He was the one who erased the memories of the other 6 (and programmed the Five to think they were human).
The reason there are so many American adaptations of British shows is that selling formats is a major cash cow for Auntie Beeb. So far nothing's come close to Strictly Come Dancing, but it's an incredibly cheap way to make money off an existing property.
Ah, thanks for clearing that up Jessica. I was, in fact, high.
The Boomer retcon took some hand-waving, but it does explain why her "missions" came at such random-seeming intervals. It does NOT explain why she resurrected without her Cylon memories intact. (Even if she died in her "sleeper" mode, well, so did Ellen. And SHE got all her memories back as soon as she came back to life.)
FlashForward: no dead Janis!
Also, the hobbit is pretty damn SMOOV.
Ha! Mark, Olivia, and Simcoe just TOTALLY had a
"Brad!"
"Janet!"
"Dr. Scott!"
"Janet!"
"Rocky!"
"Dr. Scott!"
moment, there. Without words, though. All eye contact.
