Why?
I literally said "what the fuck is that?" out loud when I saw it. even prepared for some crap, I still had to say it. It's LAME.
Of course, I fully admit to not liking change, so it could be some of that.

You know, regardless of the reservations and issues I have about SGU, it still warms my geeky heart to think that DH is probably stepping through a Stargate RIGHT NOW. He'd better remember to take pictures.

Just the words "Doctor Who" aren't bad (that's actually the way I first saw it on my smaller screen here), but when you scroll over to see the DW in the shape of the Tardis, well, ew. If it was just the Tardis, I'd like it better, but the initials make it look weird.
Count me as a fan of the remixed music from S4, though! I love the added lower notes.

Well, new Doctor, new logo, makes sense really. And as the Tardis is so instantly recognisible, it makes sense to use that too. I actually quite like the old-fashioned script they've used.
I didn't like the revised theme music. I know Murray Gold, the composer (was at university with him), and I was almost tempted to get in touch an tell him off. But of course I didn't in the end. He also composed Martha's Theme, so I think it balances out.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
Yeah, I really disliked the last two iterations of the logo--I didn't like the orange or the pointed oval plaque thingy, so I'm very glad of the redo. I'm most partial to the Peter Davison logo, but this works for me too.
