A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Well,
new Doctor,
new logo, makes sense really. And as the Tardis is so instantly recognisible, it makes sense to use that too. I actually quite like the old-fashioned script they've used.
I didn't like the revised theme music. I know Murray Gold, the composer (was at university with him), and I was almost tempted to get in touch an tell him off. But of course I didn't in the end. He also composed Martha's Theme, so I think it balances out.
Yeah, I really disliked the last two iterations of the logo--I didn't like the orange or the pointed oval plaque thingy, so I'm very glad of the redo. I'm most partial to the Peter Davison logo, but this works for me too.
Makes me wonder if they'll give the theme yet another rework too.
I literally said "what the fuck is that?" out loud when I saw it.
Me too. Doctor WTF.
as the Tardis is so instantly recognisible
...and yet, I didn't recognise it as being Tardis-shaped. Logo fail. Or maybe Me fail. Whatever.
Normally Emails From Crazy People links belong in Natter, but this one just seemed to say Boxed Set to me...

Jess, did your DH make it back through the stargate?
He did! We IM'd for a bit last night before I went to bed and he went out to dinner with other press folks. He said he didn't bring me back a Stargate, but he did get to see them turn one on during the set visit. (It really does light up and spin around, but the splooshy water thingy is done later by computers. Shocking!)
but this one just seemed to say Boxed Set to me...
Please. Stop. Run-on. Sentences!
Is your sentence running on? You'd better go catch it.
The guy who cut Jason Momoa has been sentenced to five years.
Did anyone bother watching episode 10 of Defying Gravity? Suddenly
the Mars mission had visions too. And now they're flashing back to that in detail instead of to mission prep. Too late for me to care, really. Don't want new people.
But I'm glad that Jen
copped to not being able to see Beta, and that she did so to both Zoe and her husband. I hate when characters sit on their own private angst machines.
Not sure where they're going with
Rollie's car accident,
or how that might be resolved by episode 13--I don't hold much hope that they're going to resolve much of a mini arc by the end, except perhaps by
having reached Venus, though that looks like next episode.
