A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
because it was extra-gritty and walking out would be just too chipper.
This, I'm thinking, is the real answer.
Really? They aren't moving physically in the wormhole? I guess not, given the mere seconds they are in there. Still, when they did that swooshy camera thing in the old shows, I just assumed velocity.
I'm quite willing to believe that Dr Nick (I'm always goign to think of him that way in homage to the Simpsons ) lied about contacting Earth so he could say he was in charge.
Yeah, the dead-wife-therefore-nothing-to-go-home-for trope strikes again.
Still, when they did that swooshy camera thing in the old shows, I just assumed velocity.
Yeah, this was a fake-out. ita's right. Conservation of energy - there's nothing in the wormhole to act upon them and speed them up - it's not like a slide - so they should come out at the same velocity they went in. (It might be more realistic for them to come out as spaghetti, but that would be a dull show. After the first few times, anyway.)

That would make for an awesome reality show, though, if I got to choose the participants.
I watched the first hour of SGU and recorded the second. Things that I found more enticing than watching the second half of SGU today: going to the post office, cleaning packing peanuts off my carpet, hauling potting soil, moving bricks, and staring at bugs with my cat.
It's in the same time slot as Dollhouse and, barring a major disconnect between me and my Friday media night group, I suspect it's going to lose to Eliza et al.
I'm glad Sancutary is coming back. I really liked the last 4 or 5 episodes of last season.
They showed that scene with Dr. Lee that made me think Rush had swapped with him. Though I too don't believe for a second that Jack put him in charge, it'd be like handing all the decisionmaking over to Rodney McKay in his forget-about-Teal'c-and-save-our-own-skins-Blondie phase.
DH is going to be on set on Tuesday. Anyone got a question they want answered?
Maybe if he bumps into Ming Na he could ask if her character on the series will have to struggle harder or go to more elaborate lengths to be taken seriously than the one she played in Mulan?
Yeah. I paid more attention that I should have and came away unimpressed. Despite my Full Monty Carlyle love, the cast seemed uber-generic and none of the plot points grabbed my interest.
feh.
I just finished watching all but about 5 episodes of SG-1 and am starting on Atlantis, though I seem to recall not liking it in the past.
Can't see tainting the fun memories with BSGU. Lamentations.
Flash Forward speculations: D. Gibbons kidnaps Charlie the daughter. Also, I'm suspicious of Cupcake!DGibbons and wondering if she's connected to Evil!DGibbons. It may be that the Gibbonses *wanted* to be found, so Cupcake Lady purposely gave them a made-up flash forward that would lead them to Evil Guy.
Cupcake Lady purposely gave them a made-up flash forward
I am unsure about the show's policy on the veracity of the flash forwards they
show.
I thought the guy who was IN A MEETING, OKAY, was meant to indicate that they will
show
us the truth, even if the character is lying about it.
I read that SGU did better numbers than Dollhouse. But now Dollhouse is coming after two sitcoms, so not much traffic to capture and keep there. I wonder what the overlap is there.
Interesting point, P-C, but until we're sure, I'm sticking with my theory. It may be because those cupcakes looked cree-pee!
