Wow, I don't know how I will ever keep up with this thread lol. I am also grading right now--Film History Midterms with clip analysis and short answers....so I feel your pain. Thanks for the welcomes everyone. My cats, Bonkers and Kona, really enjoy walking on student papers, trying to play with them, nosing my laptop out of the way to steal my lap (Bonkers). Crazy kitties. Is "my cat ripped up your essays" a valid excuse for not handing back papers?

In other news, no clue who I am voting for. I am taking a break from CNN for a few days to get reality back in my head. I wanted Kucinich but we all know how likely that was. Then Edwards but meh, he quit. I can't decide between Clinton and Obama. I have until May but if this is elections as usual the race will be pretty much over by then and I my vote will mean Jack. Cynical me.

"I am the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world"

Our primary is tomorrow and I still dunno which one I'm voting for. Either way it'll be a historic year for presidential front-runners. Evidently Obama was here as well at The Jefferson Center. I wouldn't have minded being there either really.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

This year the Democratic nominee will be decided far later that usual - perhaps not until the convention. All in all, a very unusual election campaign....

Very much so. I'm supposed to be looking over the issues between those two but it's ended up with me writing working on a sketch for No Shame Theater this week. Funny how that works.

Officer Garth Mason was on Market Street at 6:37 p.m. when he saw a car, operated by Landocalrissan Butler, 27, of Winnikee Avenue, speeding and moving into the officer’s lane, almost striking his car, said Deputy Chief Tom Ghee.

A friend of mine has a George Bush cat toy, which the cat loves to chew on and bat around....

Bartleby killed his cloth W doll in a matter of seconds. Good boy, nice cujo.

Swouncing

Skipping lots to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is KristinT's birthday.

Happy birthday, Kristin! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

Also, it's not on the Calendar, but IIRC they are birthday-sisters, so today is also MFNlaw's birthday, so, Maria, all the best wishes for you, as well!

Hi Nilly! How are you?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Happy Birthday Kristin!

Happy Birthday MFNlaw!

I couldn't decide to post this in the Non-Fiction thread or the Music thread, so I'll post it here: [link]

The Toronto Star reported Monday that NBC has acquired exclusive rights to launch 10 episodes of a proposed television show called Rockstar Curling.

Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi, apparently closet curlers, are among the megastar rockers being courted to host it.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Boy, the strike really did make them desperate, didn't it?

In better strike-related news, the Enrico Colantonio Canadian cop series is being picked up stateside. Better yet, the second lead is Hugh Dillon.
