"WTF, there's no Canadians on the jury" and then found out it some kind of code for black people! Which is just...weird.

WTF!

Okay, I need a cabana boy who will shovel. There was only a few inches of snow, and now my back is killing me.

Also, there was some nutter further up my street using his snowblower in the middle of the road. He must really like his snowblower.

Our wings are not tired.

Shiny post number there, Jesse.

And with that I must hit the sheets, although I will likely fall asleep with the tv on since I have to torture myself with this election stuff. CA needs to start closing their polling earlier so as not to disturb my sleep patterns.

Also, last complaint of the night. It is 10:30 at night here in the middle of the winter, and 75 degrees. I refuse to put the A/C on so it's crank the fans time.

I don't even shovel the driveway, this is just from the walk and the sidewalk! Besides, I suspect that this is the guy that once kept me outside for a half hour while he gossiped about everyone on the street. I was wearing only a sweater and it was around 0 C. They say women have a reputation for being busybodies, but the three biggest gossips I've met on this street have all been men.

look up recipes using chicken thighs, because I may have picked them up by mistake last grocery run.

I love chicken thighs, I use them more than any other meat. They are inexpensive and flavorful. I can give you a million recipes. What’s in your fridge right now?

Right now, I’m thinking chicken cacciatore. Brown the thighs in a large pot. Remove, add strips of green pepper and slices of onion. Cook until softened. Add 1-2 cloves of garlic, minced. Add the chicken and juices back to pan, then your favorite pasta sauce to cover. Simmer on low for 2-3 hours, until chicken falls off of bones. Serve over hearty pasta like fettucine.

Art Crawl!!!

Has it started to snow?

I heard that one of the local school bus drivers said that there was a 90% chance that my town's public schools would have a snow day tomorrow.

I think that the chance that the university will close tomorrow is considerably smaller.

Art Crawl!!!

Just checked out the window: unless the flakes are teeny tiny it is not yet snowing here and doesn't appear to be raining either. The storm warning started almost 4 hours ago.

Huh.

universities never close. sometimes we will get out early, though. but it has to be after 2, so that we can count it as a day of instruction.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart
