look up recipes using chicken thighs, because I may have picked them up by mistake last grocery run.
I love chicken thighs, I use them more than any other meat. They are inexpensive and flavorful. I can give you a million recipes. What’s in your fridge right now?
Right now, I’m thinking chicken cacciatore. Brown the thighs in a large pot. Remove, add strips of green pepper and slices of onion. Cook until softened. Add 1-2 cloves of garlic, minced. Add the chicken and juices back to pan, then your favorite pasta sauce to cover. Simmer on low for 2-3 hours, until chicken falls off of bones. Serve over hearty pasta like fettucine.
Has it started to snow?
I heard that one of the local school bus drivers said that there was a 90% chance that my town's public schools would have a snow day tomorrow.
I think that the chance that the university will close tomorrow is considerably smaller.
Just checked out the window: unless the flakes are teeny tiny it is not yet snowing here and doesn't appear to be raining either. The storm warning started almost 4 hours ago.
Huh.
universities never close. sometimes we will get out early, though. but it has to be after 2, so that we can count it as a day of instruction.
Also, there was some nutter further up my street using his snowblower in the middle of the road. He must really like his snowblower.
You would say that, you're black.
Has it started to snow?
Not here, yet.
I heard that one of the local school bus drivers said that there was a 90% chance that my town's public schools would have a snow day tomorrow.
Everyone seemed to be banking on us having a snow day tomorrow, but I really hope not. We just had one on Friday and I have stuff to do!! I need my cheap labor students there tomorrow to get some props made.
there is nothing worse than a snow day when you need to get shit done. you can't enjoy the snow day because you're fretting about work.
So tomorrow on Oprah:
The secret behind The Secret.
I should tape this for Allyson, no?
Couples annoy each other more as they grow old together.
I can't think about this statement in relation to my parents without going to a very muddled zone, but I have to say, I find that kind if blanket statement suspect. Then again, some people get more annoying as they grow older, might be why their spouses find them more irritating.
Couples annoy each other more as they grow old together.
I'd like to see the survey questions when they come out. Because I believe it, but I suspect that you could say "Couples ___ each other more as they grow old together" and it'd be generally true, whether it's "annoy" or "appreciate" or "adore" or "bicker with."
I certainly get more annoyed by friends that I've known longer. But I also enjoy their company more. They aren't mutually exclusive feelings.
