See, I can't really complain as in the past 4 days he has gone all Linda Blair twice. Both with K. She had to give him his second bath of the day.
She said the dal smelled so bad it almost made her sick. Oops. That's what I get for trying the fancy expensive frozen baby food in exotic flavors. For dinner tonight he'll have safe sweet potatoes baked in our oven.
xpot: JZ! Ha! I didn't clean him up. I was with Grace when it happened.
I found an apartment in Burbank, much closer to Grace for half of our rent. Our lease isn't up until March 15, but it would be so worth it to pay an extra month if we could get the new place.
A place closer and without that scary heater would be great! I like that house you are in, but it's got some big drawbacks for you guys.
Sorry to hear the bad news Kat.
I've got white wine, garlic butter, and balsamic vinegar handy to make a pasta sauce out of tonight. Does anyone have suggestions for what proportion of each would work well together?
I think you should not use the vinegar, and add some clams and onions, and make a yummy clam sauce, Matt!
Apparently her oncologist needs to present her case to the cancer committee to decide how to treat it. She has Hep C so it's not a huge surprise. But she's only 45.
Oh, that's so tough, Kat. Poor sister.
I'd say melt the garlic butter, maybe a tablespoon or so per serving of pasta, then throw in a splash of the wine. Mix in the pasta, drizzle a tiny bit of the balsamic over the top. (Putting in any veggies or anything? Asparagus and/or white beans seem like they'd be good with that.)
The kids are getting so big! Noah's bath pictures really drive that home.
Afraid I have no fresh veggies or clams to add, it's pretty much tortelini and those sauce ingredients with parmesan to sprinkle afterwards. I've seen a cooking show that made sauce out of those 3 ingredients (plus crushed pecans), browned it in a pan, and dumped the cooked pasta in to stir. But I don't recall what proportion was used.
Kat - how horrible, I'm so sorry.
people have seen this (Obama)? [link]
