Could someone see a Chevy Lumina on a daily basis and reasonably think it's a Plymouth?

Maybe, I recall the Lumina being a pretty generic looking car.

George Clooney offers to mediate WGA talks, including suggesting everyone be locked in a room until the deal is done: [link]

Several people on the board where I saw this pointed out the potential problem: if you're locked in a room with George Clooney, why would you want to LEAVE?

We were up all night trying to figure out if we mention it to her or whether that's a waste of time. She moves into the dorm today and I foresee her failing once again. It just makes me want to scream and cry and shake her, but all that's been done.

I chime in with the "mention it, but not judgmental" also, she should check into whether there's an AA program on campus. I have a friend who's in AA, and his school had an office that was staffed 24-7, so that there was always someone to talk to if you felt like having a drink.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I am so annoyed that this TomKat thing has ruined my enjoyment of Dawson's Creek!

Yeah, I feel like poor Pacey wins out in the end only to lose her to Tom Cruise.

On the other hand, its fun to look at her and Michelle Willaims at a time when most people (well, me anyway) would have assigned "stunt Hollywood marriage" and "Oscar Nominee" in the other direction.

Do they even still make the Plymouth? I don't recall hearing it come up in like, ever.

I need to call the post office and harass them some more about my missing package and why no one is a) able to find it, b) able to stop hanging up on me, and c) able to call me back.

Weeeell -- with baseball players, it's pretty hard to give them the benefit of the doubt. They've all known for years that steroids were not legit, or else they wouldn't have lied about it. And they do lie about it; Palmeiro swore before Congress he'd never done steroids and then six months later tested positive for Stanozolol.

Yes. The lying is very shitty. And should count big.

But there ARE legitimate uses and without a flat-out and clear ban, you know, some grey to me.

The real gray area lies in the number of US baseball players for whom English isn't a first language, who don't necessarily know what all the additives and GNC-type supplements are. (Also, not all make their homes in the US, and laws about drugs differ so much, so "I have to go to a shady ex-podiatrist to get a scrip for it" isn't even a good rule of thumb.)

Oh WORD -- lots and lots of grey there.

I feel like Baseball really screwed the pooch on this. The IOC is nicely tyranical.

Edit: I've been watching my Mother go through real problems from her absolutely necessary medical steroid use. It's not that I don't take this seriously. And I saw how she suffered while using them. I know there are differences in drugs and doses, etc. but its hard for me to believe that someone could use them a lot and often without having some bad effects that would make them question what the hell they're ingesting.

Plymouth went away. I don't remember exactly when.

Well. The post office found the package this time. But now they tell me I need to sign for it. And that it hadn't been scheduled for redelivery. Even though I've called them four times this week.
