Riley: Oh, yeah. Sorry 'bout last time. Heard I missed out on some fun. Xander: Oh yeah, fun was had. Also frolic, merriment and near-death hijinks.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Congratulations, tiggy!

I've never heard of this under the pillow with the PJs thing. Mine go on a a shelf in the linen closet. I wear them for two nights and then change to new.

I make our bed every morning (complete with turn down and lots o' pillows). Once like a year ago when GF was sick, I made the bed up all cozy for her like that and she was really into it so now I do it every day.

I'm wearing a Lucky Brand Asian-style hoodie right now AIFG.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Cass, one of those would freak me right out. They're so clearly snakes with legs.
Well I will never be able to look at a skink again now. I fear snakes. I preferred thinking of them as wee dinosaurs.

The Tijuana Estuary has a "legless lizard" and nothing will ever convince me it's just not a snake in lizard's clothing.

Art Crawl!!!

If I bothered to make my bed, I'd put the pjs under the pillow. Did that as a child too.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

tiggy, you win! Also, congratulations on the house.

Which is to say...prolific was exactly the word. Man, I hope I can drive tomorrow.

That's really sweet.

I don't use a topsheet, so there's no real making to be done. I could lay the blankets out neatly, but I don't think they're even big enough to tuck in on the sides--they'd just look weird.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

ftr bkgrnd is poorish farming American with English/Irish heritage.

That's my Mom's side of the family.

Well, Emmett's recovering from his earache that's kept him out of school all week. (Lesson Learned: Don't dunk your head underwater in your friend's hot tub.)

And I've got an ick that can't decide whether to level me or just go away.

JZ is wrapped up in her MSCL box set (Halloween ep), Matilda is entertaining herself by stomping around and up and down the hall in her Squeaky Shoes. (It sounds like a stampede of squeak toys.) And Emmett's face first into his Nintendo DS (Mario Party).

But I have the interpipes, vodka and grapefruit juice and...okay, that's it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Forgot to note: I am shocked and appalled at the notion of Jilli in a hoodie.

But now that Ple has clarified that Jillie is covered in Emo frosting I understand.

I blame shrift and her picspams.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Dude, Jilli was covered in Gerard Way buttercream long before shrift started in on the conversion process.

Who do you think dragged my white ass into this shit?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hooray for house, tiggy! That looks pretty fantastic. Master bath! Shed! Yay!

When I make my bed I am pretty thorough, folding the top sheet over the blanket so it's displayed below the pillows, and arranging the bedspread and quilt and comforter on top of that so some of each is visible. I don't know how often I do that, less than half the time at a guess. It's nice to have the cover everything with the comforter option, but sometimes I just leave it all completely rumpled, which leads to the layers of warm things migrating off of my side of the bed somehow.

I suspect I'm going to get one perfect brow raised at that way of putting it...

Tiggy, the house looks awesome. Fingers crossed for smooth closings!
