Our wings are not tired.

I'm sure it was a compliment, sarameg. Shiny!

I'm watching TDS now since it is on too late for me to see live. Oh Jon, I have missed you so.

Now tagless for your comfort.

ME, TOO!

Don't think I haven't considered this.

I spent an hour today with people's hands in my mouth, remarking on how easily my teeth stain (but clean up easily, yay?) and listening to my spit get slurped up. I was in the mood for a compliment.

And now I just made myself feel stupid because PBS prompted me to grab my old thermo text to see if I still remembered PV=nRT correctly ( thankfully, yes,) and in paging through it...man, I've forgotten FUCKLOADS. I probably couldn't even do basic calc reliably anymore.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I spent some time looking at calculus stuff online a few months ago. The more I looked, the more came back to me, but I was amazed at how much I'd forgotten. (Even though I was once told the half-life for mathematical knowledge is 1.5 years.)

Pet Shower Curtain

Let her shake! No water will get on you or the floor.

From the picture, it looks like it could also be used to decontaminate your dog if it's exposed to plutonium.

In tutoring my neighbor, I've been both pleasantly and un- by what comes back and what doesn't. Basic geometry rules tend to. Remembering that there was a reason for the rules governing the order you perform functions was an embarrassing one...

Honestly, a lot probably would come back were I to need it (with some refreshing.) It's just amazing how much time I invested, and how much I enjoyed stuff, and now I've forgotten it. I loved practical calc. I still think I have the mental understanding of things, if not the ability to actually do the calculations. I guess I still know how to approach it. So there's that.

hip deep in pie

I have 2 McDonalds within 7 minutes of my house (one's in a Walmart). But more impressive, I have 5 Tim Horton's (possibly 6) within the same 7 minute walk. 3 of them are in the same mall complex.

I am loving my TiVo. I have so much more crap TV to watch!

I think the writers strike is going to garner a lot of PBS-related posts from me... no tivo, no cable, dvd disinclination.
