So the cell phones are in the possession of police, but police can't look at what's on the phones without a warrant? Huh.
Yes, I would think that since it’s a medium that can be easily changed/destroyed, they grabbed it. We had to deal with that before when I worked for the judge, I remember a particularly long day in court going through the contents of a file cabinet.
Does anyone here believe that no one has looked at the contents of the phones?
I do. Fruit of the poisonous tree is no joke.
What's kind of awesome about the CFO is she was at the gym when she passed out. This is a 60-something, 5 kids, Orthodox woman. Working out!
See, this is why I don’t exercise.
If they're "known troublemakers" I wonder if the contents of the phone interest/denial of access has zip to do with the zoo.
Aaaand their system is down, so the universe is continuing to mock me with its monkey pants.
I managed to set my alarm clock an hour ahead last night , and didn't realize it this morning until I was up and dressed.
I think I'm safe in saying today is on the list.
So this kid says to me, "I just don't feel like you ever really explain it. Like, when I ask you about something, you give this, like, weird answer, and I never really understand it." I'm very sorry that he feels this way and I'd be happy to set up a time to try to go over things more clearly, but...
You know when I'm going to do absolutely nothing about these very serious problems? In the middle of a test.
am full of gronk this morning, but the boss is back from vacation, so my first day with him - being late or externally gronky not really an option, so I got coffeed and have been pretty steadily doing work for over 3 hours (including having to set up a meeting with 15 min notice and not knowing teh system!)! therefore need a break.
still, a much better day than many others are having, so I will take it.

Heh. I mean, poor kid.
I've had two cups of tea but my brain still isn't awake yet. And I've already solved one problem for a client (although I could have solved it in half the time if my brain was awake).
The co-worker who had parked their car next to mine is apparently having a Monday, as well--he/she left her lights on. I called it in to the security desk with the hang-tag number so the guard can let the person know. Then, I found out that the payroll system is also having a Monday, since there was a changeover in servers over the weekend that obliterated our payroll submissions from last week. No big deal, we just had to resubmit this morning, but I'm sure they weren't happy to discover the screw-up.
The good thing about the changeover is that, apparently, they changed their mind on the status of last Monday (NYE), and decided to give it to us as a holiday. So, everyone will be getting an extra day off this year to make up for either working that day or taking it as PTO.

That made me panic for a second, as Monday is payroll day for our big client (we wrote their payroll system) and my boss who usually deals with it is out of town. Then I remembered that he's actually at the client's offices today, so I guess I don't need to worry about it after all....
My brain is taking a Monday. Unfortunately, the rest of me has to be in class(es). Maybe if I take my brain out and attach electrodes, I could jumpstart it?
