I seriously believe that those fuckwads were dangling Carlos Souza over the tiger's moat. And probably photographing it with their cell phones.
ETA: It goes along with the eyewitness who said she saw Souza and he looked ashamed of the way his friends were heckling the tiger. If his "friends" thought he was dissing them with his uninvolvement, they might have thought it fun to dangle the poor kid over the moat.
So the cell phones are in the possession of police, but police can't look at what's on the phones without a warrant? Huh.
Does anyone here believe that no one has looked at the contents of the phones?
Aaand skipping again, to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is Miracleman's birthday.
Happy birthday, MM! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

Happy Birthday to Miracleman!
Hi busy lady Nilly!
I have several people who have said they will take care of my cat.
But this needs to be written out so that others who deal with your death (like police in the event of an accident) know that and don't just reflexively take you cat to animal control.
That was sort of the big take away: without writing a plan down, the State doesn't know your intentions and therefore probate becomes a necessity. I was not surprised by how much money gets drained through probate, but I was surprised by the amount of time it takes.
Brothers mauled by tiger refuse the police access to their cellphones.
I heard (I think on CNN) that they were "known to police" and had been arrested several times for petty crimes and drugs, so they could be hiding other things.
I have several people who have said they will take care of my cat.
The joke in my family is that when my parents go, noone will care about their house or possessions, the big fight is who is going to inherit their cat.
Happy Birthday Miracleman!
Oh, and did I mention, Gronk.
Some of the new developments are going up in known arroyos. That's just insane. If I were choosing land or a new house out there, I'd hie myself to the county office to look up the floodplain maps first thing.
Seriously? That's messed up. We did look at the floodplain maps, but a lot of our region is marked X. Which just means no one's done a study. Probably because it's not necessary, but also because the area's poor, and nobody much has lived in it before.
But local wisdom should tell them what's what with the washes. And you can infer a lot from topo maps.
What else? Oh, we're under snow advisory here. 3-5 inches above 5000, 6-14 above 6000, 10-20 above 7000, over two feet above 8000. Yesterday the road to the ski resort was closed. The snow was so heavy the plows couldn't get in. And they're getting more today.
On the name issue, that's tough especially for a junior. I can understand the hurt. We almost did the same for me when we tried to elope. I wanted to change my name to just my middle & my married. My intent was to keep the heritage of my middle name, which is my paternal grandmother's name. But my folks read it as rejection of them, which I didn't intend. So I kept all four.
Y'all know my view on the planning thing.
In other news, I'm tired. I don't want to go to teach. I don't want to go work on the house. I don't want to do chores. I want to make a fire and lie under the blankets until it's time to watch football. I am taking the snowstorm as a sign from God this is what I'm supposed to do.
(Oh, and looks like once again Daisy Jane & I will fall on opposite sides in a sporting conflict!)
Oh yeah, and the dog got sick at 4 this morning and the SO has a cold.
Happy Birthday MM!
Guess what?
We're under a flood watch from tonight through tomorrow afternoon.
Woo hoo?
