[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Skimming catch up...

Eeep, such stress over the letters for G_G and Kristin. Some ~ma headed out for positive results.

Yay for the return of the laptop, Susan. And Yay for the car trauma being minor, Hec.

The girl scouts have been around, but I have resisted. If they show up at the door resistance will be futile.

A big YAY and sigh of relief for the neils.

Car~ma for TCG.

Dog~ma for Toto.

TJs meal - artichoke raviolis with artichoke spread

Mmmmm artichoke. Want a TJs.

o_a, I believe that flour that is sealed well lasts quite a long time. Most everything I bake has eggs and/or milk. With kids these things are always in the fridge anyway.

Laptop ~ma for G_G. I hate when I have to share my computer!

sj, I would wear a favorite outfit for the pictures. That way decades later you can look at the picture and think how you really liked that outfit, as well as the fella.

Pixie Hil! Hee. Maybe you can put an iron on patch over the button.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

Thanks for the ~ma, Laura. I know I need it!

ION...computer is still down. Tried just about everything short of tossing it out of a window. Looks like it has earned a trip to the store. Hoping it isn't serious and I won't lose too much info. I think just about everything has been backed up.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Harumph. I seem to be getting spots all over my body. I first noticed a few days ago that I had a few on my left hand- on the back of the hand under the index finger. I first assumed it was a winter-dry hand irritation, sine I get those every year about this time. Then another showed up on my right middle finger, under the knuckle. Then others popped up just below my right thumbnail bed, on the tip of my right ring finger, and on the side of my right pinky. Yesterday I noticed I had FIVE on the inside /back of my left upper arm and this morning I noticed another couple on the corresponding right arm, and I think there's one on my lower belly.

Sometimes they itch, but mostly not. They have redness around them which seems to calm temporarily when I use Burt's Bee's zinc oxide stuff.

WHAT THE CRAP IS GOING ON?!?!?!?

(sorry for excessive detail, but I have a feeling I'll be referring to this post when I call my doctor tomorrow.)

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Have you had chicken pox before, Nora? Could also be hives, I guess.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Well, if we're already playing Hivemind Doctor...

So I got a sore throat last Friday, lasted through the weekend, minor coughing Monday/Tuesday, body aches & sleeplessness Tuesday night, factory of snot through the end of the week, resulting in the piece de resistance -- 36 hours of sleep! Minus about an hour an a half for cat-feeding and vw-calling. Today, I'm out of bed and showered and I'm clinging to hopes of Getting Things Done today (have to buy a vacuum cleaner, for one thing!), but a little shaky. And still a snot factory. And some annoying coughing.

Any thoughts? Just a clingy flu, or something to worry about? I've never slept away an entire day before.

Nora, I'm sorry I have nothing to offer on your spots. I hope it's something quick-clearing.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Emily, that sounds like the flu I had in the first half of Feb. Which eventually cleared up, in time to give me a week or so off before coming down with the cold I have now...

Got nothing on Nora's thing, except that it sounds like some kind of hives to me. Maybe see if Benadryl helps, and call a doctor if it hasn't cleared up in a day or two?

Mostly lurking...

Maybe see if Benadryl helps, and call a doctor if it hasn't cleared up in a day or two?

This is what I was going to suggest.

Poor Emily sounds miserable. Me wants to jump in the car and take her soup. Damn being too far away thing.

I taught Sunday School this morning, but didn't stick around for church. I am muy exhausted, so I came home to nap before my afternoon plans. But, my little girl was hysterical today. I totally wish I'd had my camera. She got "too hot" and took off her headband, and when she decided she needed to put it back on she didn't want any help. So, she ran around the rest of the hour with her bangs sticking straight up behind the headband. It was so funny.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Well, that just happened to a girl in the book I'm reading ( Tithe, by Holly Black), and before you know it the rest of her skin peeled off, and she was a pixie, green as grass, complete with wings. So unless that's what you're hoping for - don't scratch it!

I just read that book myself!
