[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Poor Toto. Hope he gets better soon.

Ya KT! Will keep fingers crossed as well. I look forward to the jubilation as you get accepted.

So, question for the wise ones of the group. Back when my schedule wasn't so fubar'd, I was known to bake. Nothing fabulous or fancy, mind you, but bake. So the question is... if I have loads of flour that have been in sealed vessels, does the flour go bad? And with flour being a staple ingrediant and all, what are some simple yummy recipes to use said flour. Key being simple. Also that don't need egg or milk, as I don't stock those. Impossible? Maybe some little bread things or something? I dunno.

I'd start stocking eggs, if you want to bake, Omnis--they do keep for a long time, really...I don't think most recipes I use (cookies, cakes, etc) use milk, though. I don't do savory baking like bread, though, so dunno...

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

I had a fabulous evening chez Sox - including episodes of Torchwood, which I had not seen before.

I am an artichoke-lovin freak, so artichoke raviolis topped with artichoke antipasto is a little slice of heaven.

Yay for good connie news, and for done mailed is good application news. Hopefully Toto will feel better, and boot to the head for Gadget Girl's slacker friend. May that not affect your chances of being chosen for the scholarship.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Bread doesn't need egg usually, but pancakes do. I made pancakes 3 times this week. A bit excessive, really, but my girl wanted them.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I love egg substitute because you can keep it in the fridge or freezer for ages, since they're not something I ever use except when the random baking urge hits.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

I think my laptop died. Until I get it fixed, it looks like I'll be using my old laptop or sharing a desktop with DH. Ugh, I hope it isn't anything serious; however, I think the hard drive died.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I'm sorry, GG. I hope your laptop drought is shorter than mine was!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yawn. We just got in from a lovely dinner for TCG's stepbrother's birthday. They are much more late night people than we are.

TCG's dad said he would take our engagement pictures on Monday. Please someone tell me what to wear.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Anyone know Boboseeottintottin?

We had Bobo-skee-wottin-tottin. I'm guessing it's the same thing.

One nice thing about vegan baking is that soy milk in the boxes keeps practically forever.

I got a new pair of jeans. I seem to be having some kind of reaction to the metal in the button. I've got an itchy green spot on my stomach. It's very weird.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I've got an itchy green spot on my stomach. It's very weird.

! Well, that just happened to a girl in the book I'm reading ( Tithe, by Holly Black), and before you know it the rest of her skin peeled off, and she was a pixie, green as grass, complete with wings. So unless that's what you're hoping for - don't scratch it!
