Buffy. When I saw you stop the world from, you know, ending, I just assumed that was a big week for you. Turns out I suddenly find myself needing to know the plural of 'apocalypse.'

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

not your mom's socks.

Frankenbuddha's gonna have to choke a software engineer.

Ah, the eternal bitterness between QA and software engineers (I usually hear the reverse). Heh.

That's because code always "works" perfectly until QA gets it's hands on it. Unit testing my ASS!

I'm a sysadmin, and I want to choke software engineers and QA engineers.

I'm a tech writer, and we hate you all.

I'm a tech editor. We want to smite you all with a copy of the style guide and naming guidelines.

also? In response to a recent request for a DTD from a "software" company? I got:

- I'm not sure I understand the meaning of DTD in relation to our XML import/export software.

(sent them the definition of DTD)

- oh. Well, we didn't think that was necessary for this product. Just send us your questions when you have them and we'll tell you what that points to.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay for more cash, Cash!

The Obama stuff makes me sick. I voted for Clinton, but it had absolutely nothing to do with ignorant lies and rumors.

The last couple election rounds my greatest fears were realized when so many people voted for a person that should never have been allowed to be president. This time around I wasn't afraid of any of the major candidates. I could understand why people supported each and every one of them. None of them appeared to be stupid or evil. When one of these current candidates become president I won't be curled in a ball crying. It may not be my first choice, but I am grateful that I'm not sickened by any of them.

It was very tense in social situations with Bush supporters. I have respect for Obama and McCain supporters. I understand where they are coming from. This is a relief for this non-confrontational voter. (insert apologies to any possible Bush fans, sorry, I just don't understand)

Yeah, that, and a number of other hats. Not so unusual in the itty bitty software development houses.

Last night the cat freaked out all over the dining room table and spilled half a cup of cold coffee on the tablecloth.

Today I wash tablecloth.

Ten minutes ago I put tablecloth on table.

Five minutes ago Da Punk spills half a glass of milk on tablecloth.

Back to wash goes tablecloth.

Totally spamming the thread since I am 500+ posts behind in Natter but can't skippy skip because I enjoy the Oscar talk.

Both Brendon's are off to the state HS basketball finals. Bobby and I are home alone eating junk food and watching SciFi. And we have a cold front!!! Yay for free A/C! It is 59F! This is rare enough these days to excite me.

eta: {{MM}} Maybe get one of those big rolls of white paper to use as table cloths and toss when used and abused.

{{{MM}}} Can I suggest one of those vinyl type table cloths until Em is a little older.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Must remember it is bad form to murder small animals and children.

Sure.

But it the kid gets tuna all over her and the cat gets chocolate (or something) all over her and you just happen to have to use the bathroom...

Well, hey, Darwin happens.

Does this make anyone else thing of "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" and see's MM with an ax in his hand?

I'm in a recording session in Studio A at Capitol Records.
Is that the one where Rupert Neve signed the mixing console? took me forever to figure out who it was. The whole time being "what idiot sharpied the mixing console?" Oh! The guy who made it. Cool!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Back to wash goes tablecloth.

yeah, but at least milk and coffee are just, ya know, milk and coffee. The days I want to scream are when I wash one load of peed/pooped on clothes only to find my son waiting for me in the bathroom with yet another pair of poopy pants.
