This morning I got the perfect example of how I work with idiots. So the education dept is doing "Jungle Book". A show the kids put on to show their parents how much they have learned in acting class. So they forward me this request:
For preshow music, we're thinking about "Eye of the Tiger" and "Welcome to the Jungle"
Um, Welcome To The Jungle? For kids? For Jungle Book? The story about overcoming challenge and growing up, you want a song about the city beating you down and whoring and drugging and all that? And you want this to start the show off? For kids. Um. oookaay.
ION. Girl Scout Cookies arrived today! Yes, I succumbed and purchased $20 worth of cookies. It was my bosses daughter. I had to. Political reasons. I swear.
oh, and my possible date for Wednesday has been postponned. I didn't send her the note yet. It seems her work schedule is slammed this week, and she feared being overly tired on the date. So now I can procrastinate sending the note. I'm good at that.
Okay, I just called this woman, and her message is "you have taken the time to call the number, please take the time to leave a message. Remember, a positive attitude often yields a positive result. Ciao"

She's clearly evil and must be destroyed!
I disagree. I tend to lean that she has an evil job, and was internalizing all the bad karma people were spewing towards her. So she's taking charge and trying to stay positive. Granted, she did it in a pukey kind of way. but. Can you blame her?
I am curious what she does.

Heading to Chattanooga next week for SETC...is anyone else going to be there? I'm ridiculously happy to be getting out of this awful town for a few days. Hoping to do a little networking while there. Maybe I'll find a new job. Draconian Dictator Principal is still stomping around like the pompous jerk he is.

KT...I want to see pictures of you during Spirit Week! Our dress up days are so pitiful at this school. I think I'll pass along "School Stereo-type day"...maybe Draconian Dictator will allow that to go through. He rules that school with an iron fist...it's hideous.
I've considered changing my outgoing message to "if you're not going to leave a message, please hang up now" because when people wait until the beep to hang up it leaves a very loud dial tone on the machine which wakes me up if I have managed to sleep through the phone ringing.

Oh, goodness. Sometimes I think my, "And have a great day!" is a little much.
So, cuteness from kids today: one of my preschoolers asked me, "Miss Val, how do you spell elemenohpee?" It killed me.
