Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I SO want an "I Love The King" hat.
Because in NYC? Only a few people would get it.
Including my one doorman. Who would do a doubletake that would snap his neck.
I bet if I got Thai food wearing an "I Love the King" hat it would be the BEST thai food ever served in New York.

Gorilla paintings! As in, paintings by gorillas. they've even been named by the gorillas. V. cute.
Trudy, just make sure the people where you get the food actually LIKE the king. Not liking him may be why they're in NY and not Thailand.
That cartoon pic Fay just posted reminds me! I get a consult for my new tattoo tonight! Eeeep! All I have to bring with me is a stick figure sketch and 2 Botticelli prints.
I would be shocked rigid if they didn't like the King.
...
...I can't think of anyone comparable, in terms of universally beloved and treasured and cherished figureheads. He's seen as the father and grandfather of his people, and he has significantly bettered the lot of his people in many ways during his reign. Dissing the King is like 'Yo Mama' times a million, afaik. I've seen no shadow of a hint of any Thai feeling anything disparaging or cynical about the man in a year and a half.

...er, which is to say - I feel confident that nobody would spit in your green curry upon sight of said hat. Um.

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
When I lived in Astoria I always wanted to get a "Its Greek to Me" t-shirt. In Greek. Forwhich to crack up my neighbors... but I never found one.
This. will. be. even. better.
I was amazed to discover the number of Russian ex-pats who lived in my neighborhood when I had a t-shirt with the KGB logo on it, surrounded with lots of Cyrillic. They were Not Amused. A couple of clueless people, though, asked if that was a t-shirt from my sorority. I was Very Amused.
