I was amazed to discover the number of Russian ex-pats who lived in my neighborhood when I had a t-shirt with the KGB logo on it, surrounded with lots of Cyrillic. They were Not Amused. A couple of clueless people, though, asked if that was a t-shirt from my sorority. I was Very Amused.

I almost got slammed up against the wall by the Marines for wearing a hammer-and-sickle t-shirt at the embassy. A year ago.
Of course, there is an active communist party in Greece, but dudes? Irony? And, you know, freedom of speech.

Fay, glad to hear the king's much loved - not knowing much about the internal politics of Thailand (and, sadly, too many other countries) I wasn't sure. It's a good thing to know, though. May he reign happily!
On a related note, has anyone else noted how often in books the words rain, rein, and reign are used interchangeably? bah!
