[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Interview~ma for Ailleann.

Raq, I hope you're feeling better soon.

Synapse~ma for Aimee.

We need to get a backhoe in here for the toy situation. I've got a huge bag for donation ready to go in the basement but I need to get a bit more culled, considering this weekend we're going to Indiana to do our delayed family Christmas AND Liv's birthday. I fear more toys.

Liv's counting to three in Chinese. I love Ni-Hao, Kai-Lan!

Gronk. Cat kept me up all night, and for some reason I didn't make the connection with my having taken her food away (due to ants) until 5 this morning. Poor thing. Poor whiny fucking thing. You've gone longer than that without food before! Granted, not when I'm in the next room, but... So at 5, I went and grabbed the dry food she keeps getting into when she's not supposed to and put the (ripped-open) bag on the floor. I kept telling her, she could just eat the ants, but no...

Emily, I feel your pain. My cat can have FULL dishes and he will STILL claw at our heads at 5:00 a.m. He wants us UP and for us to show him his food.

We've taken to shutting him in the basement at night but he yowls and bats at the door and makes too much noise.

Yeah, I had to get up twice -- once to get out her food, and once to walk her to the food and show it to her.

In other news, we have groups of middle school students walking through our classrooms all this week. Four presentations a day on what I teach, one before I've had my full coffee dose, and two of them during my free period. Grrr. I don't teach freshmen anyway! They don't need to know what I teach! And all the 8th graders are giving me flashbacks.

ETA: And the other two during the class which was going to be watching movies all this week.

Mostly lurking...

Oh, and I just ordered a pair of these, in anticipation of my upcoming Florida trip (and the fact that all my sandals are totally worn out)

Those look fabulous, Nora!

Um...there was other stuff. Toto is insisting on going out. I have no idea why. I mean, I'm usually up by 7 a.m., at the latest. What's three more hours to a doggie's bladder?

All is well that ends in pizza.

What's three more hours to a doggie's bladder?

21 in human hours?

My cat can have FULL dishes and he will STILL claw at our heads at 5:00 a.m.

Fortunately for me, my cats only get obstreperous if I'm in the kitchen. I think one of the things that's helped keep them bugging me at other times is that I've got an automatic food dispenser. It runs on batteries, so I can program feeding times into it. They get fed twice a day, at the same times everyday. As soon as they hear the food hit the pan, they're gone.

Hey, so does my cat! Actually, he has two. They are both carbon-based semi-autonomous household appliances, and they run on Coke Zero. He's programmed one to feed him at 5:30 am and 9:00 pm, and the other to feed him at 8:00 am and 5:30 pm.

He's developing a spot-feeding dispenser, but it's not tall enough to reach the food yet.
