I've really got to learn to just do the damage and get out of town. It's the 'stay and gloat' that gets me every time.

Spike's Bitches 39: Cuppa Tea, Cuppa Tea, Almost Got Shagged, Cuppa Tea...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

All is well that ends in pizza.

What's three more hours to a doggie's bladder?

21 in human hours?

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

My cat can have FULL dishes and he will STILL claw at our heads at 5:00 a.m.

Fortunately for me, my cats only get obstreperous if I'm in the kitchen. I think one of the things that's helped keep them bugging me at other times is that I've got an automatic food dispenser. It runs on batteries, so I can program feeding times into it. They get fed twice a day, at the same times everyday. As soon as they hear the food hit the pan, they're gone.

Hey, so does my cat! Actually, he has two. They are both carbon-based semi-autonomous household appliances, and they run on Coke Zero. He's programmed one to feed him at 5:30 am and 9:00 pm, and the other to feed him at 8:00 am and 5:30 pm.

He's developing a spot-feeding dispenser, but it's not tall enough to reach the food yet.

The status is NOT quo.

I kind of have to own this: Pop Up Books of Phobias.

Well, damn. My prof *still* hasn't assigned me to a group for the assignment that is due online at 6pm today. And, no one has posted their work yet, so I have no idea how much work I should even put into this thing.

I was actually looking forward to this assignment, but now I'm just stressed about getting it done before I go to work.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

FYI: If you enter Powell's books through this link and then search for the book, we get affiliate money.

Ok. A few people have posted the assignment due today. I know I'm an overachiever, but people, two sentences? We're supposed to be re-writing a Bible story from the woman's point of view. Some aren't even re-writing the story, they're just saying, "This isn't ______'s point of view, because..."

I think it's a really good thing that I usually just don't see other people's work. And, maybe I'm beginning to understand why I get as good of grades as I do...

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

What about the coronations were you wondering, if you still want me to delve into my brian. Which, I have to warn you , is not firing on all systems yet.

One detail that's worrying me is whether there's a specific day of the week where coronations are supposed to happen (or not happen). I really want the one in my book on a Tuesday, and if it has to be on a Sunday, the timing of that section of the story will be absolutely shot to hell, and I'll have to completely rework the lead-in.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Queen Elizabeth (current) was coronated on a Tuesday, so you should be good. It doesn't have to be any particular day of the week.
